Motzi Matzah
Bless the matzah
Hold all three matzot.
Recite.
הִנְנִי מוּכָן וּמְזוּמָּן לְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת אֳכִילַת מַצָּה, לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ עַל יְדֵי הַהוּא טְמִיר וְנֶעְלָם בְּשֵׁם כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל
I am ready and prepared to observe the mitzvah of matzah for the sake of the Holy One blessed be He.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַמּוֹצִיא לֶחֶם מִן הָאָרֶץ
Blessed are You, God, King of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.
Baruch Atah Ado’nai Elo’heinu Melech Ha’olam Hamotzi Lechem Min Ha’aretz.
Return the middle Matzah to the seder plate.
Recite while still raising the top and bottom matzot.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתַָיו וְצִוָּנוּ עַל אֲכִילַת מַצָּה
Blessed are You, God, King of the universe, who has made us holy with your mitzvot, and commanded us to eat the matzah.
